Black Bean Hummus

This Black Bean Hummus combines the fertility-boosting benefits of black beans (rich in zinc) and tahini (a sesame paste packed with nutrients like calcium and iron) to create a delicious, satisfying dip. Whether served with pita chips or fresh veggies, this tasty snack is a great way to nourish your body and support male fertility.


Ingredients (Serves 4-6)

  • 1 (15-ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • Juice of 1/2 lime (about 1/2–1 tbsp)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp packed chopped cilantro
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Blend the Ingredients. In a food processor or blender, combine the black beans, garlic, olive oil, tahini, lime juice, cumin, chili powder, and cilantro. Process until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a tablespoon of hot water at a time to achieve the desired consistency.

  2. Season and Serve. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve the hummus with toasted pita chips, pretzel crisps, tortilla chips, or fresh veggies for a healthy, satisfying snack.
