Lemon and Garlic Grilled Chicken

This Lemon and Garlic Grilled Chicken combines the fertility-boosting properties of selenium-rich chicken with the zesty, aromatic flavors of lemon and garlic. It's a versatile dish that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with fertility-friendly sides like spinach or carrots for a complete, nutrient-packed meal.

Ingredients (Serves 2-4)

  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 3 tablespoons)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic (about 2 medium cloves)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 pound chicken breasts (cut thick pieces into thinner portions for better marinade absorption)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade. In a small bowl, mix the lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano until well combined.

  2. Marinate the Chicken. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate overnight for maximum flavor.
(Tip: If time is short, cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and marinate for at least 5-6 hours.)

  3. Grill or Cook. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium heat. Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the chicken is browned and slightly charred.
(If using a frying pan, cook over medium heat, allowing each side to brown before flipping.)

  4. Serve or Store. Serve hot with fertility-boosting sides like steamed spinach, roasted carrots, or quinoa. Alternatively, dice the grilled chicken to use in salads, wraps, or grain bowls.
(Optional: Double the recipe, grill all the chicken, and freeze leftovers for future meals.)
