Porridge with Blueberry Compote

This hearty breakfast combines high-fiber porridge oats with creamy Greek yogurt and antioxidant-rich blueberries. It’s a delicious and affordable male fertility recipe to start your day on a healthy note.


Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 6 tbsp porridge oats
  • Just under ½ x 200ml tub 0% fat Greek-style yogurt
  • ½ x 350g pack frozen blueberries
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Instructions

1. Cook the Oats

  • Add porridge oats to a non-stick pan with 400ml water.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 2 minutes or until the oats thicken.
  • Remove from heat and mix in one-third of the Greek yogurt.

2. Prepare the Blueberries

  • Place blueberries in a pan with 1 tbsp water and honey (if using).
  • Gently poach over low heat until thawed and tender, ensuring they hold their shape.

3. Serve

  • Divide the porridge into bowls.
  • Top with the remaining Greek yogurt and spoon the warm blueberries over the porridge.
