This quick and super-easy recipe is perfect for ensuring you are getting enough selenium in your diet. Selenium is an important antioxidant for male fertility as it is an essential ingredient to warding off sperm deformities. Lucky for us beef is high in selenium and this is a delicious way to keep your swimmers fit and healthy.


Serves 2

1/2-pound boneless sirloin steak, thinly sliced into 1-inch strips
2 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp honey
1/4 tsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp cornstarch
1 clove garlic, minced
4 scallion greens, cut diagonally into 1-inch slices
2 Tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
salt & pepper

In a bowl whisk together soy sauce, 1 tablespoon oil, honey, and mustard. Add steak, tossing to coat, and let marinate, refrigerated, for 1-2 hours.

In a heavy skillet or wok, heat remaining tablespoon oil over moderately high heat until hot and sauté garlic until aromatic. Add steak and cornstarch, stirring, until browned 2-3 minutes. Stir in scallions, sesame seeds, and salt and pepper to taste and heat until just heated through. Serve immediately.
